Hopefully I have posted in correct section, appologies if not!

Can anyone tell me if either of these diagonostic readers are any good for my 1998 e36 328?
    Thanks.

No they will not be any good as they have the wrong plug connection, you have a round BMW OBD plug, those readers have the "EOBD" / "OBD" 16 pin plug.

Also E36's are not full OBD2 compliant as such.

Neither of them will work on your car.Maybe invest in a Peake tool unless you want to reset the airbag light in which case you would need a seperate Peake tool

Thanks for that Ronnie, I knew I would need an adaptor cable to make it fit, but Stk is saying they will not work.
    Thanks

You would be better off trying to get a Peake tool as StK mentions or get Inpa or Carsoft or similar.

This is an ADS interface suitable for use with INPA and OBD1 BMWs. It will require a laptop with a proper COM port located at a specific IRQ and Hex address that is set in BIOS.
