    Wondered if anyone can help i have a e36 325i coupe and as soon as i turn the ignition on the ABS light comes on and will not turn off my mechanics diagnostic equipment cant communicate with the ABS within the ECU, Anyone have any tips or know what the problem is?

    Most likely a wheel sensor. But really need to get the fault codes read.
    You can test and compare the resistances at each sensor to see if there are any differences.

    I have had this twice it's most likely the wheels sensor so it needs replaced.

    What scanner did the mechanic use to try reading the codes?

    And did he try reading the codes with the engine running?
