these posts may hold the answer....

    David Wragg holdings software issue?

also installation on windows 64 bit operating systems appear to be problematic too!

Thanks Slowtech unfortunately I had investigated these threads. I appear to get connected with INPA but it doesn't cover the E87 or at least my version doesn't.

Hmmm I think you need to check the INPA connection reads live data from a compatible vehicle.
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the location "Planet Jamesy" and so can't offer my vehicle as tester?

I've just read thru the DW instruction PDF and it is a comprehensive guide but have you double checked your settings and are you
using a serial or usb OBDII lead?

Using the USB ODB cable. I've checked the settings on the DW PDF umpteen times and I can see no issues. I'm really stumped.

Shame, thats a bit too far for your cable to reach

So it'll be a modified VAG-COM lead shorted on pins 7 & 8? are you running vista os by chance?

Wonder if its vista then ? I've had issues trying to get just INPA running on vista before
1st you need to check INPA works on a donor vehicle then you can take the next step and maybe try installing on xp or win7 32 bit os's.
