Hi folks, have been reading for over a week and managed to get Easy DIS V44 installed on laptop today via VMWare. Now a few questions.

1)I have 11 rar DIS files but used only 1 EASY_DIS image and 1 GT1 programme ISO to get running. Do i need to install other GT1 programme isos in DIS?

    2) WHat else do i need to get this connected. ?

    3) I have also got 3 x Ediabas RAR files what are these for ?

    4) i have a VAG com interface and an ELM327 will any of these do. Sorry for all the questions. Can post plain english instructions on installing DIS if anyone wants.

You install inpa which includes ediabas, then your virtual machine, and the easyDIS base, and once thats in, you install the v44 DIS.

Expect a load of fiddling with settings.

The VAG-COM lead will work, but might need a bit of soldering to bridge 2 pins.

Ok, so i have basically skipped installing INPA(which includes EDIABAS) ? I have installed my virtual machine with Easy DIS and V44.

Ok, so i have now installed INPA from DavidMC shared folder. Set up as per his "read this first" word doc. Now when i start DIS i have a full "signal" bar on the interface icon at the top right but not the diaghead and it is not picking one up. Tried my vag com obd 2 cable and no joy. only thing i haven't done is alter the registry. but every thing loads up with no errors. INPA does not show anything more than F1 and F2 when started ? Please help as im close to cracking this i know it.
