    hi guys, just had my e46 320d touring, plugged in to a computer (sorry for basic terms!).
    Anyway, had a few codes come up;
    43F1 'Electric AUX heater Activation.'
    4AB2 'Electric AUX heater.'
    4501 ' EGR control Deactivation'
    4570 Rail pressure plausibility delivery controlled.'
    Can someone shed a light on what these mean? and what i would need to do to restore these 'problems'.
    Thanks, Jimmy

    first off do you have any problems with car ? second if not,clear codes could be old faults, then after driving for while rescan.

    travelling back from cornwall last week (300 mill odd trip), about 100 miles left, lost some power, and the DDE light came on... took it to a local garage, they scanned it for me, and those codes came up, they somehow turned the light off, and the car seems fine now though...?!

    The electric auxilary heater is dead but can be ignored because it is only there to demist the windscreen.

    Suspect the actual problem is a dirty MAP sensor and clogged up EGR valve as you get some seamingly random codes from MAP sensor issues which do indeed light the emissions light and reduce power

    You should clean the MAF (air flow sesnor) and the MAP. (Manifold pressure or boost sensor) best to use electrical contact cleaner
