hi guys, airbag light came on after I removed the seats for some extensive clean up...
I bought some reset till on eBay, and it comes with a 20 pin round connector as well as an odb2..

now, I'm turning insane looking for that dlc under the hood. is it even there on the late model e46??

    thanks

its under the dash by your right knee under a flap with obd2 stamped on it..

would of bin cheaper to get BMW INPA diagnostics aswell and diagnose and reset everything and anything on ya car...

hello mate, just to let u know that sometimes if you actually move/fiddle the Airbag connector/socket under the seat (if its a socket disconnect then re-connect) the Airbag light could turn it self of without needing any diagnostic equipment to reset it, i am saying this through experience. If that doesnt work then as the other chap said it might of been cheaper and easier to have got it reset by a mechanic or BMW.

thanks for all the replies.. I have been to a mechanic ( actually the garage who done my LPG conversion) and they tried to reset the airbag with their diagnostics machine, it couldn't connect.. I even bought a canbus tool for bmw on eBay and it didn't work ..

I've ordered an odb2 cable for inpa and let's see what happens...
