Managed to get INPA working and checking out my X3 got a couple of questions. Fuel economy and performance have been a bit sluggish.
So digging around there was a few error codes about the o2 sensor dropping voltage (looks like a dodgy connection). But then I came across some live data for the turbo desired pressure and the actual pressure. The pressure seemed to be lagging behind a little. When I took the car for the run the desired was wanting to be 2.1Bar A (1.1 Bar real pressure) but it was only delivering 1.7 Bar A (0.7 Bar real).
When i got home i took the air delivery pipe from the intercooler to the inlet manifold off and was suprised to see smoke coming from the pipe (i.e from the turbo) which did actually clear after a while.
Possibly crankcase fumes or turbo seal gone?
If it is the turbo, real oem mentions something about the DDE on the turbo listing. I believe that the M47 engine ver 2 has a an electronic wastegate actuator?
