Now ive done it!
Well today i tried to update the DME with SSS v32, after been trying to convert my car to euro spec, i have had some luck i managed to change the region code on my E46 M3, i managed to do it with NCS EXPERT, and changed from BR93 to BR91.
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...0#post20358980
And managed to encode all modules with these settings, although to day i tried to update the DME software, SSS failed to update the DME, after 3 tries.
Now i cant even start the car, or even conect to the DME with INPA, say's "Module error, program will stop", even in SSS the DME is not even recognized, if i try to add the DME manualy to encode it will ask for" 7 digit part number", that i introduce , but the DME is not even appearing online.
Please help me!

I knew you were going to say that.

Back to the problem in hand, you have got yourself into a bit of a pickle.
The 7 digit part number will be on the case of the ECU, it's the BMW number, without the first XX YY digits.

It will start with 783xxxx but you may see 2 numbers on there that will also give a software version.

I have a feeling a complete recode is impossible once it has been done, it would need to be "virginised" beforehand which will mean the ECU out and read via a BDM interface.

Jason at BW Chiptune is the only person I know of that would have a chance with it, give him a call on 07831 103030 and tell him everything, including the NCS and VO change.
He has a BDM which will be able to read the entire contents on the ECU, and repair any errors or corruptions, if not, he might need to do it in the car.

Can you get any response from the NCS?

If you can get back in, change the VO back to US spec.
SSS isn't going to like an alien US ecu fitted to a Euro car.

To virginise the ECU, it needs to be opened up, connected to a debugger and this can reprogram the entire ECU. NCS/SSS etc aren't able to access the complete info, and won't like mismatched settings.

Getting a virgin file set will be incredibly hard, they only exist if someone has bought an uncoded new ECU from BMW, and passed it to a tuner to read the file.
It'll be tricker still to get a US file set in the UK.

Thanx to Jason @ BMW Autorepairs Chiptune. http://www.bmwautorepairs.co.uk/chiptune/index.htm
This guy is so professional you wont believe it! well i phoned and explaind the issue, straight away he knew what to do, and on the same day the car was ready.
Not only did he solved the huge and potencialy expensive mess, as he remaped the DME for more pick-up as well better mpg!
I recomend this company, even if on the other side of the pond!!! for you guys!

cheers
