    If poss an idiots guide!!! I've fitted aftermarket HIDs to my car 2001 e46 coupe & I'd like to tell it they are fitted

    you cannot tell car it has aftermarket hids lol, all you can do is disable the tests the car performs on the lighting circuits to check for blown bulbs etc, only real way forward. cheers but second above comment lmfao!!!

    I've done similar, although not with NCS.
    In SSS, you go to retrofits, and pick xenon lights, and it'll recode the car to suit.

    That'll be what I had done on my last car altho with autologic widget

    It should be possible with NCS, i guess xenon_lights=aktiv should do it, but make sure you know what you are doing first.

    You want a capacitor, not a resistor. Make it quick, they'll be an MOT fail in a few months, as the MOT test is changing to specifically include failing a car for retrofitted HID without self levelling and headlamp washers.
