    Hello,

As the title suggests. I have had the SRS code read at my last service and told it was the passenger seat sensor. Looked at the options of replacing it myself, or having the sensor bypassed, and due to the age of the car decided to bypass it with one of those ebay connectors.

As the airbag light I was getting was intermittant, I hoped it would just go off when installed (I did this with the battery disconnected) but it did not. Assuming the the bypass unit is not faulty I now need a SRS light reset.

Wondering if there is anyone around the Chester Area who has the device (probably a PEAKE SRS 16) who would do it for beer money?

    Thanks. Gavin

Try R.G Lewis in Tattenhall or Trenics on the Wirral. They are both BMW specialists and quite cheap for this sort of job

    Thanks.

I know trenics, infact I had the car serviced their and had the code diagnised by them for free. They couldn't reset it at the time though as I either needed to pay them to bypass it (about £60) or sort it myself.

I did the seat sensor bypass myself, so didn't really want to go back and pay trenics, although I was very impressed with the service I got from them.

Sorted in the end though with a cheap ebay reset device.
