I've got a suspect faulty maf. Running with it unplugged improves the running but looses power, so should mean it's faulty. However, I replaced it with a Bosch, like for like, and it still runs the same as before. What figures should a good maf be producing? I'll be using INPA to check. Thanks

    Car details?
It's the forum law ya know!

Generally clear the fault codes, drive it for a while, and look for MAF or lambda faults.
If you don't see anything, it is within expected tolerances and nothing to worry about.

    sorry - 2001 330d

no fault codes at all. it's a bit sluggish low down and hesitates a few times on full throttle. disconnect maf and both problems go away. can i reset maf adaptation values via inpa? thought i would be able to but only found injector adaptations in there.
