    Hi all need some advice.

I have just purchased this cable BMW OBD Diagnostics USB Cable Fault Code reader Ediabas Inpa on Ebay and have installed INPA v5 (I think) on XP.

The INPA software loaded up ok after following the instructions and cable has been set to COM1.

On the INPA screen the battery icon is black but I can't seem to connect to the ignition!! Program then returns an error and freezes.

I have looked at a lot of info on here and the web. Main difference I can see is that my system, hardware devices, advanced screen is different from others I have seen and I can't copy the exact parameters values.

I'm trying to sort out an intermittent misfire so any help with my INPA problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.
