EDIABAS is like the base.
INPA comes with EDIABAS.
To run GT1 you need EDIABAS.
So you install INPA so you can have EDIABAS base and then you install GT1.
So in the listing he is offering from what I can see, the cable to go under the dash and into your laptop. INPA so you can have EDIABAS and GT1.
Will only work on cars from 2000-2005.
Earlier cars will need an ADS interface, later cars will require the D-CAN interface.
That should work fine for the OP.
Setting up GT1 would be pretty involved and requires 19-20GB of hard disk space. For basic diagnosis Inpa should be fine.
intertesting read, I am looking to source a setup Ideally a PC based system like VAG Com that could run off my Win7 Webbook?USB only...
Is there a setup thats tried and tested and recommended setup?
I have looked at the PEAKE/straight code readers, but would rather a DIS or similar setup, that I can run real time.
Ideally avoiding trial and error of ebay?
Any help apreciated.
I used to use Vag-Com all the time on my Cupra R and Audi A3, something like that would be fantastic.
