Hi, I had an intermittent problem where my ABS and traction control weren't working which was solved by changing the battery. After that the lights went out permanently so I thought my problem was solved. But now the dreaded lights are back on and staying on so i want to get my fault codes read.

I read that BMW charge about £50 just to read to fault codes and found this on ebay for about the same price.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-Carsoft-6-...item19c09acb96

I read the sticky that says they are good, but are they as good as the ones the dealer uses? If it's a wheel speed sensor thats gone bad will it tell me which one it is? Or just alert me that one of the sensors has gone.

    Thanks.

It's not quite as good as the BMW one, but it will say which sensor or fault has put the light on, so it'll be fine in your case.

So check that they will guarantee that this version of carsoft will read you ABS. mine does not. Mostly to do with the interface module.

A ton of reading available on it but best to ensure it can do the job before you buy. I have carsoft and fins it quite useful if a little limited.
