I had my CEL come on soon after buying the car. I went to an indy mechanic who totally ripped me off to plug in a diagnostics machine (Like all do). I paid close to 100 quid for it and the man then basically said his not sure but he would try changing the MAF first because he couldnt find an air leak. He then reset the CEL. He was charging quite a bit for labour and the MAF so I thought id do some DIY. The CEL came back the next day.
A few days later I bought a working MAF and installed it myself in a few minutes. I then waited over a week but the CEL never went. The car drives ok, Its a bit rough but I think thats just exhaust rattle (It drives ok for a ten yr old car) and it idles ok.
I thought id avoid going to a mechanic and just buy a Peake tool to read the codes and reset the CEL. Now I got a whole bunch of confusing codes and I need help to see whats wrong. Here they are:
A6 Periodendauer Lambdasonde vor kat
79 signal air intake temp
78 signal air flow meter
AA Heizleistung sonde nach kat
a9 Heizleistung sonde vor kat
8d lamda regulation control range block
I reset the CEL but I doubt it will last. I hope someone knows what this might be?
