I seem to be totally confusing myself with all this diagnostic stuff
    I've got carsoft 6.5.
I ran a check on the EGS and it came up with an error with a number 2 in the bottom left of the screen.
Can someone help me decipher what this code means. Jason very kindly sent a list of codes but i now don't know if they are relevant to my car.
    Thanks

It is OBD2, or very similar, but carsoft does not look for OBD2 codes.
It will use internal BMW codes.
Do you know what the message was?

I've done another test this morning and this is what it came up with.
Not 100% about the first one
EGS - code 2 ignition coil cylinder 4 or solenoid parking/neutral lock
ABS - Code 39 servo motor electrical error
Code 7 Left front speed sensor or abs inlet valve
DME - Code 25 o2 sensor heater circuit pre cat (bank 1)

Are these expensive things to put right? Which one is most likely the cause of the auto box going in to safe mode?

    Thanks
