i have done a engine conversion from a 2.0 to 2.8 but my car has a early rev limit and from researching its a abs fault because my car was 91 and i rewired it with a 95 chassis loom for the ews and used a 96 m52. the cluster works but the dme doesnt get signal. got to work out getting a wire bridged or something?

Do you have a copy of the full wiring diagrams for both? Can you post further details of the swap performed?

Just to give a very belated update, I never got round to resolving this issue. May attempt a quick look again this Sunday but will have yo see how things go. Sorry about all the different confusing wiring mentions.

hi I have an e36 318 1999 . I have common problem likr African friend. Car limiter works at 5500 rpm instead of 6500 rpm . . car is more for sports, so ABS is disconected. Should I jump the wires as well, to solve the problem?

    Hi guys,

I've similar issue, but without any limiter problem.

My engine is swapped, from M43 to M44, and I don't have ASC unit in my car. Therefore my ECU always get error "120 Vehicle speed (Signal wheel sensor) " I've tried to wire it differently, but nothing helped. If wired the rear right sensor directly for the ecu X20 pin 9, the ABS stopped working.
I've heard that the ECU needs conditioned speed signal, does anybody know something about this? Additionally my car has automatic gearshift, and the speed signal is really important for the ecu.

Anybody has any idea, how to solve this issue?

    Many Thanks
    Zoltan
