Yea, Easy Dis should all be seperate.
You'll need to find the bit about pinging ports, fister protocol and the API test

Can you connect to your car with Inpa now? That would be a great relief for you I'm sure.

Regarding APITEST, you need to be running IFHRSRV32 on the host but it doesn't need to be connected to the car.

I'll boot up the laptop tomorrow and will re-read your post on the other forum, have a look at the guides you are using. I've done the same as you and followed various guides, made my own notes etc. It took me months to get my first install working. The easiest route to success is to ignore everyone elses guides and just follow David's with the files he hosts. That way you know 100% it all works together.

Good news, I've managed to get Ediabas v6.4.3 & Easy DIS v44 both working!!

Reinstalled both from scratch, followed the 4 documents I downloaded & a few other tips.

Not sure if I can do anything but diagnose with DIS & use TIS on my car.

There is a 'Coding' tab in the DIS main menu, but when opened & clicked on a number between 1 & 10 - Hourglass just freezes?

DIS is pretty slow though, running in vmware, mouse barely moves etc, even with RAM increased on the vmware setting page.

I have heard it can be installed on its own partition, which may or may not speed it up?

Got there in the end though.

    Cheers for all your responses.

I thought I had managed to do something with Dis v32.i ran through all coding to set auto-locking,and self-locking after 2 minutes.I went right through to saying job completed, yet neither of them work. What have I done wrong?Secondly,is there an option to have dis start with ignition on?Any help would be much appreciated.By the way,my car is a 2001 E46 320i tourer.
