Furthering my research & knowledge on the workings & installation of DIS SSS EDIABAS diagnostic software packages.

Is it possible to install DIS,SSS or EDIABAS on a NON Windows enviroment platform?

Or do they/can they only run in VMWARE?

I know Ediabas works without vmware anyway.

Does any one have any links to tutorials on how to install on a separate raw partition in dos or similar?

I'm sure I read someone from this forum site having done it, with plenty of pictures on the install.

Even if the advice is its tricky or difficult I would like to give it a go.

If anyones done it, I'd be interested to hear about it.

    Thanks.

I maybe wrong but wouldn't you then need to use the GT1 ops head?

I think you are best off looking at VMware for other platforms.

GT1 is a WiFi enabled diagnostic head and cost thousands. If you don't have one you need to make a spoof network to access the USB adaptor via TCPIP for DIS/SSS.
