I'm buying an 05-reg BMW 1 Series with factory fit Xenon headlamps. I believe this means only the dipped beams are Xenon but the main beams will just be regular halogen bulbs. Is this so?
(As I understand it, bi-Xenon gives you both dipped and main beams.)
If so, is it worth fitting higher-intensity main beam bulbs, too, to supplement the Xonon dips? (e.g. Osram NightBreaker or Philips Xtreme). Would this add a worthwhile amount of light to main beam performance? I have used these on previous cars and found them to be worthwhile.
Are such replacement bulbs easy to fit?
