On an m50b25nv which pins are essential for the engine to just run?

I think 8, 13, 18, 21 and 22, It's likely to not worry about anything else on those.

What were your car details? ASC is part of the ABS ECU and its extra hardware, so you'll want an ASC based ABS ecu and pump.

Hi dude. I have the same car with the same engine. I've use m54b30 for swap. The engine is already running but I had the same issue with ASC. Did you solve it somehow ?

Hi there, first off all thanks for all the info i've been learning from this forum, and hope one day i can be of any assistance also.

I've been having a bit of a strugle to finish my swap.

    Here's the scenario:

Clean and undressed e36 4 door clean to the bone.

    engine:
    m52b28 manual
    original engine wiring loom

    ECU
siemens ms41.0 index 10 "remap" alowed, checked, immo off already donne!

Basicly it was a straight swap from another car, apart from all the internal wiring loom, so i'm in a bit of a problem!

i'm having a problem making it start.

need some help knowing what wires i need feeded or grounded in the x20 conector, i know that are 2 green ones that need feed ( checked ) and that black and yellow is for the starter motor.

what happens is that there is no spark and no fuel.

fuel situation i've figured it out, ecu send a signal to ground the little brown and green so it feeds the fuel pump trough the relay.

I followed the br/gr wire trough the loom and found that it goes down under the intake manifold, any ideas on were is it going?
    Am i missing anything?

If some one could give some help it would be very very good!

Where is the other end of the br/gn wire? Is it in the engine side, or the chassis side?

See if you can trace it to the ECU plug, if it is for the fuel pump, it should go to pin 13 of the X20.

starting from the relay it goes to the center of the car ( blackbox that holds all the wiring ) from there it goes down under the intake manifold, from there i'm lost ;(

Any tips on making this car start and run in a clean chassis would be much apreciated!
