I am getting rid of my headunit and am installing a Tab as the head unit, I will have an inline volume control installed, I have a Hertz EP4 amp, I am asking to find out, will the BMW factory speakers wire direct to amp and still work, can I wire from the speaker harness connector straight to the amp. There is No BMW Factory Amp in the car, so it will just be:

Tab > Volume Controller > Hertz Amp > Speakers +Base.

I currenty have No sound in car as Head Unit is Nackered, It was a Double Din, Satnav, Dvd, Tv.

Please could someone advise me on this, then I can set about wiring it up.

Does the 323i Touring, have crossovers on the speaker system, if so, where might they be and do I just get rid of them and wire speakers direct, L/R, Front and Rear.

Hi guys, here is the progress soo far, I have done the wiring in my car, but at the moment, it is straight from the Harness, to the amp, f/l, f/r, r/l, r/r, now cause of the amp I have, which is the Hertz amp, as pictured in first post, all left and right, front and left are going into amps left and right speaker terminals, so no separate rear and front inputs, I am getting sound, but only down the left hand side of the car.
Output is via, 3.5mm jack to RCA, into Amp.

What is causing me to get sound only on left hand side of car, both front and back. The right hand side, front and back are working fine.

I have amp power set to come on with the first turn of key in ignition.

Please can someone advise me on what may be the problem, I do not want a Head Unit, so it is either going to be my Nexus 7 or my HTC One X.

Would really appreciate some advice here.
While I am at it, I was thinking of putting a easy connectable port, from Under Bonnet OBD Connector to usb cable adapter.
It would make things easy if I could run the car and have the OBD connector kept plugged in:
Would this still function, does the OBD cap have to be in place when car is running, or can the adapter take its place, so that I can mount the usb connector to my dash near my Stereo, then what I intend to do is when I park up front of house when I need to access the OBD software and just run a usb extension from house Computer to Dash Usb.

I think you're going to have to do a sketch of the wires and what you've got connected.

Your pics don't really show a lot.
So far all I can make out is you have an RCA set going into channel A, and then a bridged output to something.

No mention of what the car speakers or sub is connected to.

Sub is connected to the Same Amp, that's the Bridge. Rca input into Amp, coming from Nexus 7 via 3.5mm jack from nexus, to RCA, into Amp.
The speaker system is bog standard BMW setup.
I have wired the speakers using the harness that used to go into the stereo, took front left, front right, rear left and rear right and wired them to the inputs below that Bridge on the Amp, it is only a left and a right output to speakers.
I will go and take more pics, but its not going to give anymore info matey.
