    Hey,

I plan to do some work on my Xenon's this weekend as a fault is showing and I want to check connections etc. I am aware that there are safety issues as these things pack a punch of electricity.

Has anyone got any advice on when and how to work on them i.e. is there only a risk of shock with ignition turned on etc?

    Thanks

You are right, ballast turns 12v into 23,000v. Turn on your lights. If one bulb is not lighting, swap it with one that is. This will tell you if ballast or bulb. If ballast, check is getting 12v using pencil tester.

If crook ballast, you will be up for some dosh. If bulb, cheaper on ebay and just as good.

Make sure the lights are off, just swap the ballast like mentioned with the ignition off
