This is the ECU from the compact:
As I say though the x20's are pretty well matched, since belling all the pins and using TEFAL's ECU pin out list.
Only problem we need to resolve is that the car side of the x20 doesn't have pins 11 and 12, which are for water temp on the engine side. Which means the water temp gauge flys round beyond the red as soon as ignition is turned on.
Then we also need to convert from EWSIII to EWSII. We'll need a transmitter module for this as the car doesn't have one (EWSIII does away with it) whereas EWSII does require it.
