Do the the front bolsters slide in and out ? If so, they are sports seats

The front Lumbar is manually adjusted, and headrests are also manual.

The side bolsters *may* be adjustable.... I have an extra switch with 2 arrows on at the very front of the seat base...

    See Page 32 in this:

Imagine the bit that goes under your thighs just before your knees, this pulls out on sports seats, an extendable squab.

Yeh, that bit does pullout but manually, not electrically!

    Any ideas on the wiring?

Has anyone got any ideas/suggestions re: the wiring?

I tried them last night by connecting:

    4 - Red/Brown - +12V
    8 - Brown - Ground
    13 - Brown - Ground

With this connected, the forwards/backwards; up/down; tilt; backrest; adjustments worked fine.... for about ~10 seconds!! If I disconnected them, and came back later and tried again, they would work for another ~10 seconds!

There are also several things that don't work:

    - the switch on the front of the seat (backrest width?)
    - the switch on the top of the seat (another forwards/backwards?)
    - the memory buttons.

So, i'm guessing I need some of the following wires connected aswell?

    2 - Orange/Green
    3 - Green
    7 - Red/Black

I've since found out the Orange/Green and Green are the "CANBUS" wires which connect to pretty much everything electrical in the E92! Still none the wiser of the red/back wire. Doesn't seem to go into the ECU though, so could go straight to the heating?

What is a "CANBUS" and is it important for the seats to function?

I've found this thread very useful, as I have the same problem. I'm trying to reto fit a pair of '08 M3 full power seats in a custom build, but I can't figure out the wiring. If anyone can help identify where these go, I would greatly appreciate the help!

The attached diagram is a drawing of the 19-PIN connector I'm trying to identify. I know what the large red and brown wires connect too, it's the smaller ones that have me puzzled.

    Thanks in advance!
