    Hi,

I'm trying to find out what each wire does in this middle plug:

(I know the green fat ones are optical)

I found this diagram of the unit, and it labels the plugs:

The plug I'm concerned with is this one:

So all I need to know now is what each of the pin numbers do. But I don't know where to turn for this information. Can anyone help me please?

    Cheers
    Ben

Depends on the car, if it's an E65, look in here for the CD/DVD bit

Cheers for that, however I've been on that site for several hours this afternoon and can't find the info I need, on what each wire is for. (I'm looking for the one that tells it to 'wake up', because that should be a live which is switched by the headunit and I can use it to turn my new amp on.)

Yea, I don't think they have a full pin out for each plug, you need to trace each wire in the wiring diagram and they should all be marked for what pin they are on the X1312 or X10635 plug

The trouble is the wiring diagram are described as a schematic and not a connector view, you just have to look at the connector and identify the pin from the schematic
