all depends if ya car is ADS or OBD compliaint chances are its OBD crossover but uses the round pacman under the bonnet..

this will explain and it would of bin cheaper to get a BMW INPA setup i think, it costs next to fook all and you can diagnose and connect to every system on ya car..

    this will explain...

BMW INPA diagnostics an idiots guide to getting started

16 pin is under the steering wheel this is the OBD port

20 pin is under the bonnet this is ADS/OBD crossover all depends if pin15 is present or not if itsa crossover port or ADS...

chances are for connectivity yal need to use the 20 round on your year of car...
330i sport a big chunk of berlin...

i doubt it will be there but yad better check, because yours has both ports its gonna be a crossover car which means the port under the steering wheel is for engine ECU connection OBD2 (they had to have it by eu law) and for everything else for connection ya use the 20 round (because BMW did the least they could get away with to meet the then EU laws)...

inpa is easy its not as hard as it looks honest there are loads of us using it and theres loads of info and posts out there about it...

confirm you have no pin 15, then you may have some more inpa getting connected even cheaper options available then...
