Being reasonably competant around the auto electrics...repaired alarm, central locking, installed the Cd53...many parts required!!! etc can anyone help with the fact that the seatbelt warning light does not work.....it simply goes out after engine is started.
My Bosch independant specialist said my car was not fitted with this option....but they also told me I needed a new ZKE unit at £450...when all that was faulty was a single broken connector on drivers door lock.....i wonder what they would of done when new unit did not fix problem? My fix = £10 for a soldering iron + 15mins labour...so can I get seatbelt light working properly?
    Regards
    Andrew

Most UK spec cars do not have the switch contact in the seat belt buckles. But the ZKE can be coded for this. You would still need new buckles and associated wiring
