    Hi can anyone help with my sat nav prob on my X5,on the screen,instead of SAT NAV it says code,but i cant get onto it & hant got a code since ive not long bought the car,this has happened since i replaced battery,also the sat nav disk holder is pushing the cd,in & out by itself,hhheeelllppp ....

    When replacing the battery the code for the standard unit will need resetting.

    Some garages have equipment that allows them to remove the battery but still keep power going to the unit so therefore not losing the code.

    I would imagine you will need to go back to the stealers to have the code put in

    Have you checked the manual to see if the code has been recorded in there previously, this is quite common.

    Boostist may have more information with regards to this matter so don't go rushing to the stealers and parting with your cash just yet

    That sounds right on the money to me A20

    The unit does come up with the code signal if its had power removed from the car.
    If you look through your documents for the car maybe you will find it there?

    Im not sure what you mean about it pushing the disk in and out by itself though?

    the disk ejects itself then goes back into system by itself,in,out,in,out
