You guys may have seen from my Z4 ad that I am keen to buy a new shape (E60) 5-series, ideally with the BMW navigation and Bluetooth.
However, as the wiring loom should have all the relevant connections, is it possible to retro fit the BMW Navigation system and if so where would be the best place to source one from?

    Many thanks,
    Steve

    hi Steve,
I moved this post to the right forum as it will get better responses here.
I would say the best place to buy the Nav system would be

    1/ ebay
2/reputable BMW breakers like quarry motors or fab direct.

However it would surely be easier to just buy an E60 that has this option fitted?!!

    or buy a tom tom

    Hi Stevo

Not 100% sure about the answer to your question. But my guess is a resounding no unfortunately. Let me explain.

I asked a dealer for a quote on retrofitting a HUD system, the guy was checking the parts computer and stuff, we got chatting, even if he could find the retrofit part it would take at least a couple of days work.....

In the end it was not possible for me to get the HUD and the thot of paying BMW hourly rate over days plus VAT did not appeal.

Try enquiring with any parts department, the built in sat nav is the nuts tho! v impressive.

I hope you can prove me wrong mate! Red!
