    this seems to be the most suitable section for it to go in...

    I know it's been asked before but the trail always goes quiet when the original poster doesn't provide enough info;

    I have an E46 with Air Con. Is it possible to pick up an E46 climate control unit from ebay or the like, and plug it in place of the analogue controls?

    well I *was* bmw driving champion lol. 4 months! best I start again...

    Nevermind, I've done some more vaied research and it would seem that there are a couple of additional actuators required, total work at a bmw garage would come in at 13 hours, so I won't be attempting it myself!!

    shame really, the auto units are down to £25 on ebay!

    Yep, it's big work from what I've heard some coding involved as well IIRC
