I have an E36 saloon, standard 318i, i fitted the rear M3 lights wich go in fine, however the rear lights dont work. Everything else is fine, reverse, fog, indicators etc just the noraml lights. i know its not the bulbs (have tried new ones) I have had a look at the connections on the plug sockets (if that makes sense) and the lights have different pins to the old E36 lights, any suggestions to make these work?

    Please Help!!!!

Are the units brand new, are they genuine M3 lights or replicas and where did you buy them from?

Use a test light to check which wire powers up when you turn the sidelights on, then compare it to your old light plug, then see which wire does the sidelight on your new lights
