    Hi
it didnt have anything to do with the parking sensor
I removed the bulb holder and discounted the plug, looked inside and found one of the spades had moved back causing the indicator bulb to think it had blown, i got some long nose pliers and pulled the spade back into place and glued it in place, replaced the holder and its been fine since then.
Apparantly this is a common problem with the plug connection.
    Hope this helps
