Hello guys, today i've tried to update ECU on my e46 320d DDE3 ECU using Progman SSS and KKl Cable and the flash failed. The response was something like that: ECU doesnt respond, incompatible blabla.
After that i tried to update it with WINFKP and correct date files. I got the error from the image..The car doesnt start anymore.
What could be the issue ? KKL cable ? Or because i had only 12.5 voltage , without any external source.
Did anyone tried this update ?

    Oh dear god.
Flashing the dde is something best left undone unless you have the proper knowledge and proper equipment.
You may be able to recover the dde using ncsexpert but I have no idea how its done.

When flashing you should always have external power supply with stable 13,6-14 V and preferably min 30-40 A. Also using USB (FTDI chip) cable can cause problems, a true COM cable is more reliable. Possibly it can still resurrect with WinKFP.

Thanks guys for the answers. I fixed the issues, wanst a big deal
For everyone who has problems with ECU coding, just get DIS/GT1 and go for Programming DDE -> Replace Unit-> Faulty unit still connected: YES -> Reprogramming UNIT. It takes 3 minutes and everying fine with the new update. Also i just received the mpps cable and i wrote 165 hp settings with 330 NM. Full of power and consumption the same.

    Well done mate!!!
What update did you put in BEFORE you remaped?Im guessing that the stock factory map was reloaded.
And are you saying that all the other issues that you have been posting about are now resolved??

The initial firmare version was 7786887 and now is something with 7789...i didnt write down. I think that maf was changed and ecu wasnt recoded. Now i feel good power but i think its because of the new165 hp 330 nm map. Now i dont have the power under 2000 not 2500, better than before. But dont forget my main issue the needle injector, the wire is totally broken. I think that if i change it i can obtain better results.

Mmmm my printout for my maf coding is basic=7786887 and programmed is 7788359 and software is 7788360.
And yes it will be interesting to see how the car is when you replace that injector.

Yes, the update version it's already present in SSS but i dont recommend it if you dont want to brick your ecu, as i did
Just use a KKL or OBD cable with FTDI chip, and DIS v44(DDE programming section), or Winfkp.
I did it very easy with Easy DIS, I also unbricked the ecu which was bricked with SSS, and applied update. I felt pretty nice the ecu update, but i didnt manage to run the car so much with the new version, because one day after that, i applied 165 hp map with MPPS and now the car runs great. I still can feel it a little bit sluggish under 2000 rpm(before was under 2500), but that's because i have a faulty needle motion sensor from injector AS I HOPE TO BE.
As i read in some places, im not sure if i will feel a big difference after changing it, but i found a new injector for 50 gbp in my area and i think i should give a try.
