Hi, i have had a parrot mki9100 fitted in my e60 525 2004 car for just over a year.

4 weeks after the warranty has ran out the bloody thing has died!!

I am not sure if there is anything i can do to make it work, can i test it to see if there is power getting to it perhaps?

I think it could be wired up to the same fuse as the cig lighter as last year i accidentally dropped a 5p piece into the lighter and that blew the fuse which stopped the parrot working. The fitters replaced the fuse and it fixed the problem but this time the cig lighter is working, could it be on another fuse as well?

If it helps it stopped woking last week when i unplugged my ipod out of it?

    any ideas???

First step I would suggest is to remove the screen from its wiring harness and then refit it and try again. (This was the number one issue that we used to have)

The parrot is fitted between ISO connections, so to be fitted to the cig lighter fuse sounds like it has been bodged. Where was it fitted?

hi it was fitted at a place called ward air in newcastle which is a pucker mobile phone and sat nav place, my company has used them for years and ive had no problems with the last 3 previous handsfree kit installations

im sure they have fitted it properly as its been fine for over a year but i was wondering if there could be an inline fuse somewhere which i may need to replace?

Have you tried my suggestion above? The screen comes loose easily.

There is no inline fuse fitted to the harness supplied with the unit, however, an independent company may have added one.
