Hi new to here.. I bought a e46 320d Msport on the weekend, and I've two keys with it. One of them is completely dead.. The other opens and closes the car, but when I open it using the central locking on the key all of the windows go down! I've read if you hold the open button the windows all go down but I'm not doing this! Really need to sort this problem, I'm not sure if its a new key needed or if its a a different problem?? Any help would be great!

Also the barrel in the drivers door doesn't work like when I insert the key and turn it, it just turns freely, I'm not sure if this is a problem is connected to my windows going down problem!

    any help really appreciated people!

may be a comfort setting on the key and may need to be coded,
but the zke module may have a fault so may need scanning with inpa or pa soft to check for errors.
pa soft can do the recoding too.

orther key not working sounds like a battery issue.. if not used the battery dies
you can cut them open and replace the battery if you see a guide on the forum
Save £100 By Fixing Your Key Fob

could be the key isnt coded to the car though or is deactivated, this can be reactivated via pa soft and coded if necessary again
