Can anyone recommend an OBD II tool - something on Ebay maybe that'll give detailed info - fault codes and real time running data? Looking for something not too pricey but not to crap either. Something with additional functions if this is available.

    Cheers in advance

has been mentioned a few times,

either autel maxiscan handheld unit, will give codes and some real time running data that can then be linked for review on pc.

or if use with a laptop with a chinese cable & PA soft or blue cable & INPA

If you going down the laptop route (which is the best) those USB cables don't cover all the bases on 90's spec cars. You have to use a ADS system with a serial port laptop.
