Do you have a serious air leak somewhere?

Generally if you have a new problem after working on a car it is something you did so recheck everything you touched and anything you may have knocked

Check again because it's 99% probable what you touched is the cause.

A large amount of unmetered air is a likely cause.

What did you bumg the swirl flap holes with? Any pipes under manifold missed?

If it was mine I would spray some easy start or similar around and see if the revs climb if it is being drawn into the manifold but it is not mine and I would not recommend it so do not do that.
