    I need some serious help.
I have gone into the sss progman today to programme my sim/sgm module due to an airbag light issue and it advised me it needs to update KOMBI, CAS & PDC at the same time.
I have run the programme and it advised me to remove the key from ignition and then put it back in 3 minutes later to programme CAS.
However no ignition lights or display came up when i reinserted the key and sss tells me now that all the modules are not responding.
I currently have a full battery but nothing happens when i put the key in and try to turn on ignition.
The only light i now have is the red car on the ramp picture.
    Help!! Anything i can try
I am worried i have completely buggered the car|!

Module update programs usually come from dealer servers over OPS unit via ethernet. Unless you had some program info on your standalone SSS Progman with a virtual OPSCOM, you may need some dealer help especially when programming the CAS which is linked to most of the modules.

If you have accidently programmed the CAS without any code then it will be a dealer visit to you.

    Holy Moly.

This evening I finally got SSS Progman to work. I replaced my bluetooth module so had to code the MULF.
Even though I selected the MULF as the changed module, SSS Progman wanted to update about 23 modules in the car, including KOMBI,CAS,PDC etc.

Not having the nuts to go forward, I bottled it and cancelled, am I glad I did?? sorry dude but I am breathing a BIG sigh of relief right now.

I'm now researching WINKFP to update a single module. I think this is what you should do, that or NCS Expert to update a module at a time to try to recover it.

What happens in INPA, can you see the modules?

I'm going to be researching this, a good start would be this page which shows how to update a single module in WinKFP.

How to use WinKFP for programming - Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum

I wouldn't even know which module you should start with, a simple explanation of each is here

    BMW Engine Module List

    Good luck to you.

Unfortunately this is my first experience using sss progman.

I have successfully used inpa and used the dis program.

Looks like recovery to the garage for me then. This could be an expensive learning curve

As they say you live and you learn!!

Ok, So car recovered on low loader to my local indi bmw garage this morning and they think i have possibly buggered the CAS ignition module.

The car possibly needs a new SIM/SGM safety and gateway module aswell due to my air bag light issue that i have had for 2 weeks.
    This could be costly.

    I will update on progress.

Good luck. I understand why it is in the garage but I always suspect they take the easy option rather than considering your pocket.

This guy made a hash too but managed to resolve it with ncs expert.

Used NCS Expert, now my car is DEAD - Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum

This learning curve is very steep. Not sure I will ever get my bluetooth working. Progman will only code the whole car, not individual modules.

    Ok, Update as promised -

I picked up the car today complete with new CAS ignition unit which i had fried and i am now minus £413 for the pleasure.

I will not be using progman ever again to try and reprogramme units in the car

Sickening thing is i still have the original air bag light warning and sos warning faults that i started with earlier in the week !!

    Lesson is now learnt.

I'll stick to INPA & DIS.
