hello guys. need ur help coz this is my first bmw. i bought an e46 320d 2000yr. on the mechanic part i understand almost everything i did filters and oils change. did gearbox oil, inner and outer rods, serpentine belt, water pump etc. on the electric parts i cant get the bmw system yet.

on the dash i have the rear lights warning on. both of them.
the rear lights work. all of them. i read in some other forums that the ground on the connector of the rear lights is a common problem. i saw them but they are as new. and than i saw these 2 wires and this little box which i put the pictures in here.

1st picture shows the brown and blue wire. that one is togethet with the wires that re connected to the boot.
2nd is black and is connected to the positive terminal of the battery
3rd is the little box which is connected with the wires of the left rear lights. the red wire of this box is disconnected. if i connect it it does a little noise when the engine is off but lights are on.

can somebody help me please to know what these wires are??

    thank you

first 2 pics are for the SBK on the battery positive, if the cars been in a shunt it will disconnect the main power cable, its single use, it looks like yours might be pushed back together and taped up, less than ideal. the last picture could be anything, but givin its position, aftermarket tow bar?
