    my x5 remote key without warning has stopped working. it still opens door manually and opertes ignition. drove apprx 30miles hoping it would recharge but still did not work, has anyone had similar problem and got answer/suggestion.

    It's 2001 and shaped like a diamond with three selectors top button opens car,centre button, with BMW badge locks car, bottom bottom opens boot only

    Well in that case it has no batteries to change. It might be dead or it lost it's code to the vehicle. Only an approved garage or a dealership will help you in this case...Sorry.

    Thanks so much....took it to BMW garage and they reactivateded it
