    Hello,

I am currently locked out of my car! (although I can open the boot).

Before I locked myself out the key fob would not open the doors on the remote. It would sometimes open the front door when you put the key in the door.

The central locking button inside the car also does not work. I can hear it clicking when it's pushed but it does nothing.

I have tried both the keys, although one pobably has a flat battery. The fuel cap is also locked.

The key fob remote happily locks the car - so I find myself now locked out.

Looking at other posts I have checked the wiring in the boot hinge, I have not taken all the rubber casing off but from what I can see the wires are fine.

    Any ideas?

Can you unlock the drivers door physically using the key? if you can it sounds like the central locking relays could have packed in,
if that is the case they can be replaced but as a stop gap removing fuse no.60(in my saloon) when the central locking is open will do the following:-

The central locking now will NOT work.
All doors will unlock and lock manually.
The fuel "flap" unfortunately remains unlocked!
The boot will still remotely open.

I suffered with my C/L relays failing last June and I did a lengthy thread as the saga unfurled http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...ervice-t16743/ but ultimately fixed and still going strong
