OK, I'm gonna sound like an absolute novice here, (which I won't deny I pretty much am one )..
I've tried scouring the net for simple straight forward steps for my model but (surprisingly) haven't found much, either different model or talks about taking out the whole unit or other.. anyway..
Changing a headlight bulb (passenger-side, outer bulb) on a 1996 3 series. I'm assuming (hoping) you don't have to take the whole headlamp unit out(?), I got the rear plastic cover off to expose the half-sphere shaped piece which looks like the rear of the lens unit - its this bit I can't quite work out. Is it this whole piece which has to come off, or just the plastic 'cap' bit which plugs into the half-sphere piece? I did try twisting this plastic cap bit but didn't want to twist too hard for obvious reasons, not knowing this was the correct thing to do.
Any help appreciated..!.
