    keep getting this

"hot film air mass meter reading too high"

it puts the orange light on for around 30 miles then disappears,
    cars a 2004 2ltr e46 diesel,
its been doin it a while now, no real sort of time when it comes on, its usually after an 80mph run , but sometimes just round town, very intermittent, but never any loss of power etc,

another code that appears , again intermittent, is "3FFO",is this related?(i have a feeling this is an abs fault, but my abs works fine )
    any ideas ladies and gentlemen?
iv had the car 8 yr nearly, never a problem exept for these,

(apologys if i have put this in the wrong part of the forum,im new and crap on computors)

Try getting it cleaned with electrical contact cleaner first, it is quite easy to remove and you just blast spray through it using the small tube that comes with the can of cleaner.

Are there any performance issues, a failing MAF usually cause poor idling and power loss?

Could be, it is on the front right just to the left of the silver vacuum pump on the front of the engine
