If you don't mind not having the "coolness" of blue tinted lights, I'd suggest getting some Osrams Nightbreakers Plus OSRAM NIGHTBREAKER PLUS H1 HEADLIGHT BULBS 90% BRIGHTER (NEW) (4008321544582) | eBay

I used to have those blue lightbulbs (6500k) from eBay that were like £6 for a pair. I loved the blue tint on it, then I decided to try the Osram ones. At 1st I was slightly down because it didn't have that Xenon look blue tint (but it's not as yellow as standard bulbs), but then after driving with them, they are so much brighter (without blinding other drivers) than the cheap blue or standard ones. Especially on the motorway and country roads where there are limited street lamps. The road signs, cat eyes, marked emergency vehicles and road markings reflect so much better and from further along the road, too! Another good one I heard was Philips Bluevision. But haven't tried them as yet. So can't comment on how good they were.
