    Hi all,

I took my car for an MOT a few months back and the driver side headlight does not project as it should

As you can see from this pic the light should go across and the turn up (yellow shape line)

This is what I am getting:

My passenger side is fine but the driver side just displays a blob of light, it does not go across in a line with the turn up.

    I have tried the below:

    - swapped the bulbs over and same issue.
    - bought another headlight and still same issue (so cannot be an ignitor or ballast problem)
    - checked front auto level sensor (is cable tied up)

The issue/blob seems to come and go.. The fault might be there for 2 weeks and then it rectifies itself. Ie has been working fine for the last 3 weeks and then yesterday and today the issue is back.

Has anyone had this issue, any ideas... I am so scratching my head at this and it is driving me NUTZ :(

    Cheers

Looks to me as though the deflector plate inside the projector has come away... When you say you've tried another headlight, was this the complete headlight assembly? Also was this new or used?

Are they bi-xenon units, or single beam? Wondering if it's switching to 'high beam' in that case - that would then be down to wiring loom or control module. If not bi-xenon then no idea!
