    Hi guys,

I`ve got an E36 and am thinking about hardwiring in my Road Angel camera detector but need to keep it hidden from thieving low-life's - has anyone found any good places to put them out of view ?

Also I`ve heard they need to go via a cigar socket - easy to diy ?

Cheers for any help you can give,

    Mark.

Would be a tricky one as you would need to see it for when it flashes, especially if you like the music loud , My father had one and just placed his on the dash, It wasn't a thief that had it but the sun, It cooked it and would no longer work! ..........

    Hmm.
I think a custom enclosure would be needed to enable you to hide it from view, but ALSO be able to see the thing when you were driving/

    Hi,

Im not sure whether you know or not but the cigarette lighter is the same volt/amp as the cd player. If you can get into the back of your cd player then you could connect it onto there. It would be the red or yellow wire for (+v) and black for (-v)

Just splice it on to any ignition live.

Sounds like the issue you're going to have is where you're going to position it. Get this sorted first then worry about the wiring after.

The wiring will be the easy part.
