Hello everyone. I have a 1996 323 with a 328 engine now transplanted into it. I am running the 328 engine with the 323 ecu but would like to install the 328 ecu so that it runs properly. I have the ecu and EWS module from the donor car. I just need to know whether my car will be EWS1 or EWS2 and whether all the bits can simply be unplugged and the new bits plugged in then get my key coded to the new EWS and ecu and away I go. Sorry for the grammar.

    cheers guys

What year was the 328i engine, I believe the EWS system will be the same, so you'd need to swap the DME(ECU), EWS unit and Ignition key and barrel over from the 328i.
