Hi, hope someone can help me here?
I've got a set of E92 sports seats. They're all electric (apart from front lumbar support which is manual); have memory settings; I'm told they have heating; and according to the manual they have backrest width adjustment by the front-most switch.
I'm trying to wire these up to go into a classic, but having a few issues.
In the big yellow connector (X275 on diagrams), I have taken out the yellow and brown (airbags, as I don't need these connected), then I'm left with the following:
4 - Red/Brown - +12V
8 - Brown - Ground
13 - Brown - Ground
2 - Orange/Green - Canbus?
3 - Green - Canbus?
7 - Red/Black - Heating?
I've tried connecting +12V and ground to pins 4, 8, 13 and some of the seat works (forwards/backwards; up/down; tilt; backrest) but only for about a minute... then everything goes dead. If I disconnect and reconnect later on it will work for another minute.. and then go dead.
Also when they are working, not everything works - i.e. front switch (backrest width?); switch on the top of the seat (another forwards/backwards?); and none of the memory functions work.
My thoughts are this is something to do with the "Canbus" (orange/green and green) wires not being connected? But I'm guessing it's not as simple as sticking a +12v to one of these wires..??
Please guys, any help you can offer is appreciated.
