Hi, my 320d won't lock from the key fobs. Both just stopped working suddenly today. All the doors and bonnet are shut. It locks if you use the key in the lock. The car starts fine with the fob too.

    I'm puzzled!

Suspect the diversity unit that splits the radio and remote lock signal has died, try using the radio with the rear heated windscreen on and see if there is lots of noise

Take the car for a drive somewhere, local shop etc, and see if it locks there.

If it does, it might be police stakeout time!

I can't fix it. Tried the fuses too. The alarm goes off now when I open the doors.

    What could it be?

Have you tried moving it somewhere else?

You can cancel the alarm by putting the key in the ignition and switch on.

There's a couple of possibilities, firstly check with all keys and see if any work.

    If another works -
key synchronisation or the battery in the key is dead

    If none work -
Same as above plus the aerial in the window or there is interference and the car can't hear the signal

the fuses for the central locking have probably blown. either that or the amp is full of water and burnt out, being a touring and all.
